most of active Syrians on the net have been notified... on facebook or blog aggregators.. some are actually going on volunteer trips organizing unofficial search groups.. which can be seen here:

still the word is being spread out, and more help is always needed... I wouldn't rely on the officials in both countries cos in these cases public relations always comes first.. and Mr. Harper hasn't done people any favors lately so he can get anything in return... so the people are trying to be active on their own.. and from what it seems, there is a genuine positive reaction from the Syrian people, regardless what their officials are doing..

but spreading the word is definitely helpful... some people just don't believe in blogs and facebooks, so they need to be notified by a word of mouth.

let's hope for the best
