Two excellent suggestions that we hadn't looked at. I wish we had known of 1srg a month ago!

We'll investigate the 1srg option, but it may require the Syrian government to ask for assistance, which is trickier, given the state of US/Syrian relations. And the 8-week delay makes everything harder.

I hadn't thought of checking the travel insurance. We are now following up.

Good afternoon,

1SRG was contacted yesterday and we're speaking with your step father.

I'm sorry that you were not aware of us earlier. Getting the word out that we exist is tough, particularly since we operate on a very small budget.

We are *always* willing to speak to anyone about a missing person, no official request required. We only need the official request if we're going to send people into a country. I've adjusted the prose on our web site to try to clear this point up.

You've done a tremendous amount of very good work already. Your sister is quite fortunate to have such a brother.
